Course Description

This internship is provided by a number of key departments under the Financial Affairs Department. It aims to provide a foundational, real-life experience of accounting practices in a dynamic, transforming and integrated environment. Key areas involved in the internship training program will be: - Accounting Operations - Budgeting, Planning, Analytics, & Reporting - Internal Control & Governance - Revenue Cycle & Costing - Treasury Management

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

Compare key financial statements and explain the interdependencies/relations between their components
Define governance tools and their application and importance in the normal performance of duties
Explain financial statements preparation processes including GL recording, CC and COA
Describe the interdependencies between various Financial Affairs Departments
Develop “Common Size” key financial statements – IS, BS, and CF
