Course Description

The Business Writing Workshop is an all-inclusive program that teaches effective writing in the current business environment. The curriculum includes understanding critical elements of a message, principles of plain English, exploring tone, and producing/editing documents with expert guidance.

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

Become familiar using Plain English in different types of business correspondence.
Communicate clearly, concisely, and correctly by improving overall plain English skills.
Display improvement in lexical usage and understanding.
Produce higher quality and effective written communicative output.
Show accurate use of grammar, punctuation, and transitional language required for different business correspondence.
Draft, edit, and error-correct independently.
