Course Description

The program aims to train individuals to perform complete CESM procedures and obtain high-quality diagnostic images. By the end of this training, trainees will be able to respond to patient inquiries, document detailed patient history, operate mammography equipment, use a dual-energy injector, follow contrast media administration protocols, explain pre-procedure preparations, position patients for mammograms, perform CESM with a power injector, and respond appropriately in case of contrast extravasation.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

Respond to patient's questions and explain the procedure
Document detailed patient personal and clinical history and data
Operate mammography equipment
Demonstrate correct use of dual energy injector
Memorize contrast media administration protocol
Explain needed preparations pre CESM procedure
Demonstrate basic mammogram positioning skills for CC and MLO views including difficult and implant patients
Perform CESM using power injector
Conduct consequential actions in case of contrast extravasation
