Course Description

The Ambulance Services Internship Program at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre Riyadh provides interns with the needed knowledge and skills in EMS Department to become competent and confident paramedics. Interns are exposed to a variety of clinical and emergency medical situations and undergo training in clinical decision-making, safe patient transportation, patient management in varied scenarios and communication with other healthcare providers to provide quality, patient-centric care.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

Demonstrate safe lifting and moving techniques
Record a complete set of vital signs including 12 lead ECG
Interpret vital signs according to Ambulance Services Protocols
Develop treatment plans according to Ambulance Services Protocols
Organize transportation of patients safely to Emergency Department
Explain endorsement to other healthcare providers
