The Hepatic Angiogram Training Program is a specialized apprenticeship program designed to empower participants with the skills necessary to expertly perform hepatic angiogram procedures and administer treatment for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This program emphasizes proficiency in differentiating between radiotherapy and chemotherapy for HCC, understanding the mapping process of hepatic angiograms, and preparing for the procedure. Essential skills developed include assisting doctors and scrubber technologists during the procedure, annotating imaging for PACS submission, and managing the sterile field. The program ensures comprehensive training in both the technical and practical aspects of hepatic angiography to enhance patient care and procedural efficiency.

 By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

1. State the purpose of hepatic angiogram (mapping).
2. Differentiate between radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment for HCC.
3. Recognize the items needed for pre-procedure preparation.
4. Assist doctors and the scrubber technologist during procedure.
5. Annotate the procedure’s images and send them to the PACS.
6. Prepare the sterile field and scrub in the procedure.
