The Non-Invasive Cardiology Laboratory at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSH&RC) is committed to training interns to perform the highest quality of non-invasive cardiac investigations. Cardiovascular Technology is a highly technical allied health profession, which provides excellent career options to contribute to the care of patients with cardiovascular disease. The three-month clinical training program is designed in accordance with national and international standards for interns who have graduated from National Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) Bachelor’s degree programs.

 By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

Electrocardiogram

1. Integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical practice
2. Apply knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology
3. Describe and perform ECG
4. Describe and perform Stress Test
5. Describe and perform Holter Monitoring
6. Describe and perform AMBP Monitoring
7. Describe use of CIEDs and ICDs

Adult & Pediatric Echocardiography

1. Integrate theoretical knowledge with clinical practice
2. Apply knowledge of basic cardiac anatomy and physiology
3. Enhance professional confidence in the clinical environment
4. Demonstrate good work ethics
5. Develop clinical proficiency
