The department of Physical Rehabilitation is committed to preparing Occupational Therapy interns to deliver the highest quality of care in a highly specialized hospital environment to the people of Saudi Arabia. The duration of the training rotation will be 6 months to cover outpatient and inpatient areas. The outpatient rotations may include Adult Clinic (hand therapy) & Pediatric Clinic (general). In addition, interns will cover medical cases in different inpatient areas. Interns will gain valuable experience and training to be able to address various physical impairments, conclude occupational therapy diagnoses, and plan treatment plans for a wide variety of patients needing Occupational Therapy Services in inpatient and outpatient settings.

1. Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments of patients across all areas of clinical rotations
2. Use clinical reasoning to synthesize subjective and objective findings to develop the patient's problem list
3. Develop and implement a treatment plan that is individualized and based on SMART goals
4. Implement occupational therapy interventions that are evidence-based and appropriate for the patient's needs and goals
5. Document patients’ occupational therapy assessments findings and progress in a clear, concise and accurate manner
