The Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced apprenticeship program is designed to equip trainees with the advanced skills and knowledge required to provide standard advance life support in emergency medical situations. The program objectives encompass a range of advanced skills and knowledge areas. Trainees will learn and demonstrate safe lifting and moving techniques to ensure the safety of both patients and providers during transportation and transfers. They will also develop the ability to interpret vital signs, including 12-lead ECG, enabling them to assess and monitor the cardiac status of patients.

By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

1. Demonstrate safe lifting and moving techniques
2. Interpret Vital signs including 12 lead ECG
3. Apply Oxygen Masks Including Bag Valve Masks
4. Apply Basic Emergency Medical Pharmacology
5. Interpret Vital Signs According to Ambulance Services Protocols
6. Prepare treatment Plan According to Paramedic Scope of Practice
7. Demonstrate Transport Patients safely to Emergency Department
8. Produce endorsement to other health care providers
