This program is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform ultrasound scans and generate diagnostic reports for arterial evaluation. By mastering the techniques and understanding the objectives of this program, you will be able to assist clinicians and physicians in making informed decisions about patients' future evaluation and treatment. By successfully completing this program, you will be equipped with the necessary skills to perform ultrasound arterial Doppler studies effectively and provide accurate diagnostic reports to assist clinicians and physicians in making informed decisions regarding patients' future evaluation and treatment.

 By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

1. Identify arterial system and anatomical landmarks of lower extremity on ultrasound scan
2. Recognize the importance of proper transducer selection.
3. Explain the reasons to appropriately adjust power and gain settings.
4. Discuss techniques to recognize and minimize imaging and Doppler artifacts.
5. Obtain gray scale images to evaluate arterial system for presence and size of plaque.
6. Perform color Doppler study to identify any stenosis or occlusion.
7. Interpret normal and abnormal Doppler spectrum.
