Course Description

This internship is provided by a number of key departments under the Financial Affairs Department. It aims to provide interns with a foundational, real-life experience of finance practices in a dynamic, transforming and integrated environment. Interns shall gain first hand experience in KFH&RC’s key finance areas such as Investment Office, Treasury Management, General Ledger and Internal Control & Governance.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, the trainee will be able to:

Compare key financial statements and explain the interdependencies / relations between their components
Identify key investment & financial instruments and their associated advantages and limitations
Identify key macro & micro economic factors and their impact on investments
Explain the importance of SAA and diversification based on weight, geographical distribution, industry, risk, etc.
Describe different financing options and the strengths and drawbacks of each option
Interpret financial statements performance using Ratio Analysis
Define governance tools and their application and importance in the normal performance of duties
