The Physical Rehabilitation Department is committed to preparing Physical Therapy interns to deliver the highest quality of care in a highly specialized hospital environment to the people of Saudi Arabia. The 6 months training rotation will cover outpatient and inpatient areas. The outpatient rotations may include musculoskeletal, women’s health, men’s health and lymphedema clinics. For inpatient rotations, the interns will work in different areas e.g. Orthopedics, Neurology, Oncology, Cardiology, Organ Transplant and ICU. Interns will be able to address physical impairments, reach a physical therapy diagnosis and plan treatment for a wide variety of patients who need physical therapy services in the inpatient and outpatient settings.

1. Explain the principles of physical therapy assessment
2. State the principles of physical therapy treatment
3. Apply the skills needed to perform subjective and objective assessment
4. Analyze cases using clinical rational skills
5. Solve patient problems with emphasis on patient priority
6. Write a management / treatment plan to achieve SMART goals
